Osho Active Meditations™ are scientifically
designed by Osho to enable modern men and women
to experience their inner capacity for relaxation
and pure awareness.
Each meditation is a precisely designed combination
of various energetic techniques including breath
work, ecstatic movement, vocalization, dynamic
expression, catharsis, dance, and silent stillness.
These simple but intense practices help clean
out accumulated stress and repressed feelings
in the body and mind which ordinarily saturate
our consciousness, thereby returning us to the
very core of our being.
This experience supports us to become less identified
with our habitual patterns of thoughts and emotions;
while discovering that true meditation is neither
a technique nor something which needs to be attained,
but is simply the experience of who we are in
our most pure and innocent state.
"I have created new methods which are
cathartic, so that you can throw out all repressions,
all garbage out of your being, and can become
clean, a tabula rasa. All the techniques that
I have developed are for the contemporary man,
and doing these techniques he will be clean, unburdened,
simple, innocent."
-Osho

I really had no idea what to expect when I arrived
at your class. By the time I left, I found that
I not only felt more relaxed, but also had new
ideas to think about as I move forward with my
life. Overall, I felt more relaxed and at ease
than I've felt since arriving in the city. I look
forward to incorporating some form of meditation
into my life on a regular basis. - Todd

Meditating with Alok was a good experience! I
simply and magnificently just "was."
It was not my usual meditation experience. Usually
I identify with my thoughts and most of the time
they haunt me. During the Kundalini Meditation
I just was. I told a friend about my experience
with such happiness and enthusiasm that she got
goose bumps just from listening to me. It is hard
to translate my feelings into words. This is something
you just need to try for yourself.
- Raffaella
I feel fabulous. The meditation was simply wonderful.
I went out that night and I've never experienced
dancing with such freedom, absolutely no concern
with "who's watching." Thank you for
the gift of free self expression. - Libby

At first I was apprehensive. Being me, that's
just how I am with every aspect of life.
But, as I left I realized that for once I felt
good. It was a great experience and I wanted to
thank you for that and to let you know that you
have another satisfied customer. - Michele

I really enjoyed the meditation. I feel it had
a cleansing effect for me, revitalizing my body
and mind. Thanks for sharing it with me. - Nuria

I started the evening feeling a bit unsure of
myself in this room with several people that I
did not know, but as we started the first phase
of the meditation - movements of shaking - I seemed
to find some peace in being with myself and all
these other people. Then I began to dance and
the dancing was the best. The music was perfect
and primitive. I felt so free that I just kept
smiling and laughing to myself as the music moved
through me. When I sat down, I could feel my heart
racing. The sweat dripping down the nape of my
neck reminded me of all that excess that was able
to leave my body. We sat with the music and I
felt grateful for sometime to rest. Thoughts began
to race in. I just kept remembering what Alok
said, "Open the front door and let the thoughts
in, but also open the back door so that they can
move out." As I felt my breath return and
grow deeper, I noticed that I felt neither pain
nor sadness as I had come to expect, but I felt
a tremendous beautiful joy that pulsed through
my body so gently and so smoothly that I felt
as though I could fly. That was a deliciously
gorgeous liberating moment. Then I was able to
lye down in silence and feel the hardness of the
floor beneath me and the wind breezing in through
the window. I felt and noticed my thoughts. They
were there with me and I was in a state of total
peace. I left Alok's feeling connected to myself
and to the rhythms of life around me. - Tuline

I went in with no expectations and no knowledge
about this meditation method - just a "let's
see what this is about" attitude. The experience
was very calming and centering. I'd been on a
high for the previous three weeks. My adrenaline
was pumping so much that I wasn't able to sleep
enough, but every time I would feel myself winding
down (and considering the benefits of a little
nap) the phone would ring with another invitation
to meet with friends, and off I'd go again. After
the meditation I felt that my adrenaline had finally
stopped pumping at a hyper pace, and that I was
able to look within - instead of outward all the
time. It was great to feel that sense of peace.
The night after the meditation I slept very soundly
and deeply. The following morning I felt rested
and able to rest some more. The peace and calm
feeling has remained with me the whole day. -

The meditation was a great experience and I am
planning to do it again. - Angela

I had a special experience at the meditation evening
with Alok. The atmosphere was very calm. The meditation
was divided into several parts. During the "shaking"
part, I felt everybody's vibrations, including
mine, coming through the wooden floor. It felt
as if I was on a boat in the middle of the ocean.
It was a very good feeling. During the dancing
part, I concentrated on the music, expressing
myself by combining my imagination with my body's
motions. I let my associations run freely and
responded with movements. I liked a lot the last
part where I was lying on my back, neither awake
nor asleep. I really got into it. - Gil

In a city such as this, with people entering your
space at every moment, we all find it necessary
to build our "city walls" up around
ourselves for protection of our mental sanity...
such is life. However, again particularly due
to the intensity of NY, this can unfortunately
begin to affect us negatively as we begin to detach
ourselves more and more from our fellow "man,"
until we all become almost unable to even slightly
trust anyone who is a stranger. This can become
detrimental, and that is why I enjoyed the challenge
of forcing myself to let down those walls and
let a room full of "strangers" enter
into my world as we all shared a deeply personal
experience, together, for over an hour. It was
a necessary reminder to not shut out everything
in a world where human connection is truly one
of the most important, nourishing elements. Thanks
for the reminder. - Mary

Thanks very much for last night's Kundalini. I've
done it hundreds of times and have never heard
a more beautiful intro and guidance. - Greg

Meditating with Alok was joyful. It felt like
meditating and "staying here" in life.
Looking forward to continue it. - Rafael
