For over nine years the Alok Health Newsletter has been read by a growing number of influential, health conscious, improvement-seeking, and open-minded readers.

The newsletter goes out monthly to over 12,000 subscribers, primarily from the New York area. In addition, the newsletter is being read online by non-subscribers via Facebook.

The advertising fee is designed to match the budgets of private
practitioners and small event producers:

$95 for an article/ad in the newsletter, which includes:
- up to 75 words ($0.30 per each additional word)
- photo of your choice (provided by you, JPEG format, up to 100k size)
- hyperlink to your website/event webpage

Discounts available for multiple purchases within the same
newsletter or in consecutive issues:

10% for 2 insertions/issues
15% for 3 insertions/issues
20% for 4+ insertions/issues
(Discounts apply when buying insertions upfront)

The "Alok Health Newsletter" goes out at the beginning of each month. Ads are placed closer to the top of the newsletter based on first come, first served. In other words, the earlier you will submit your ad, the better exposure it will receive.


Website Advertising

Option 1
For one low price of $45/month your event could be featured on four websites in their 'Upcoming Events' boxes. The four websites are:

Discounts:
10% for 2 events in one month or one event for 2 months
15% for 3 events in one month or one event for 3 months
20% for 4 events in one month or one event for 4 months

Option 2
Banner on the homepage of the Alok Holistic Health website www.alokhealth.com (Hundreds of daily visitors).

The fee is $65/month for 160 W x 100 H banner in the left column.

Discounts:
10% for 3+ months
15% for 6+ months
20% for 12+ months
(Discounts apply when buying insertions upfront)

Option 3
For retreat organizers: Banner on the Alok Holistic Health 'Retreats' page.

The fee is $75 for the first month and $35 for each additional month for 200x200 banner.




Helpful words on effective advertising:
When you write the text of your ad, keep in mind what is your objective? What would you like the reader to do after being exposed to your message? For example, an ad in the newsletter should make the reader curious enough to want to click on the link and go into your website/web page. Once the reader is in your website, you have a new objective (e.g. have the reader call you or email you or make an online order).

Understanding 'reach' and 'frequency'
Reach = number of people exposed to your message at least once

Frequency = number of times each person is exposed to the message

Both reach and frequency are important since many people make a decision after they are exposed to the same message more than just once. When you advertise via more than one vehicle, you increase the frequency factor.

An advantage of advertising in the Alok Health newsletter is that it gets delivered directly into people's email addresses. These are people who have subscribed to a newsletter that focuses on health, nutrition, spirituality, yoga, retreats, holistic events, etc.

An advantage in advertising on the Alok Health website is having your message exposed to random surfers as well as people who are actively seeking a specific product/service (e.g. yoga retreat).

Once you are aware of your advertising goal and objectives and figured out the budget you can allocate, the next step is building an effective and efficient campaign. Depending on the nature of the product/service you are offering, there are short-term and long-term objectives and results.

Payment is due with placement of the ad.
If purchasing multiple ads, the full amount for all the ads is due.
Additional fees apply if you would like us to write or edit your ad copy.
Once the ad is placed, additional fees will apply for modifications you would like to make to the text/photo.

The subscribers list is used exclusively for the delivery of the monthly newsletter and is not shared with any other organizations. This policy protects and honors the subscribers and guarantees the prestige, quality, and effectiveness of the list and newsletter.
